New Characters Emoticons Symbols are now designed to face the right side, as opposed to the existing set of character emoticons , all of which are facing left. These new character emojis include:

• Person walking to the right
• Person running facing right
• Person kneeling to the right
• White cane Person facing right
• Manual wheelchair Person on the right
• Person in electric wheelchair facing right

All 6 personal emojis listed above have their own skin tone and gender variations, resulting in a total of 108 new orientation-specific people emojis [6 new emoji versions x 6 skin tones (5 colored and 1 uncolored) x 3 person types (men, women, gender neutral person)].

When should you see these new emojis on your iPhone?

The last time Apple introduced new emojis was when it released the iOS 16.4 update to iPhones. The new emojis arrive a few months after the public launch of iOS 16 in 2023-15. So if Apple continues to follow its previous timeline, we can expect the new emoji to be added to the iPhone sometime in early 2024.
