HomeCommon ProblemThe Windows 11 Start Menu Recommended section will soon include a folder for recently added apps

Windows 11 “开始”菜单“推荐”部分将很快包含一个文件夹,用于最近添加的应用程序

Microsoft recently released Windows 11 Preview build 23545 to Insiders in the Developer Channel, adding some minor improvements and no new features. While Build 23545 doesn’t mention any new features in its official changelog, the software giant appears to be testing new features in the Start Menu recommendations section in the latest development version.

Microsoft is testing grouping all recently added apps into a folder. Recently added apps are shown in the Recommended section, but they don't appear in groups. The grouping of all recently added apps will make it more organized, just like the app folders on the Start menu. You need to click on the folder to see a list of all recently added apps.

App groupings in the Recommended section are not available to Developer Channel Insiders, but you can still get it working on your PC. To enable app grouping in the Recommended section, you need to have the ViveTool app installed and, of course, Build 23545 on your PC.

  1. Download the ViveTool GUI from GitHub.
  2. Install the application.
  3. Open the app and search for the feature ID 46045587.
  4. Enable it.

After enabling the feature ID, you need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. But it's worth noting that the grouping feature may not work as expected. The reason is simple: Microsoft is testing the feature internally and isn't ready to roll it out to the public yet.

The above is the detailed content of The Windows 11 Start Menu Recommended section will soon include a folder for recently added apps. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
