According to Taiwan Central News Agency, TSMC has established a 2-nanometer task team, called One Team, and mobilized 800 people to conduct simultaneous trial production and mass production in Hsinchu, Baoshan and Kaohsiung factories in Taiwan

According to TSMC supply chain sources, TSMC has notified equipment manufacturers to start delivering 2nm related machines from the third quarter of next year. It is expected that the 2nm installation operation of the Kaohsiung plant will be only one month later than that of the Hsinchu Baoshan plant

According to currently known information, TSMC plans to build two 12-inch wafer fabs on the old site of the CNPC Kaohsiung Refinery. The first wafer fab will include 7nm and 6nm wafer fabs with a monthly production capacity of 40,000 wafers in the first phase, and the second wafer fab will include 28nm and 22nm wafer fabs with a monthly production capacity of 20,000 wafers in the second phase. If the investment plan is confirmed, the first phase of the fab will be completed in 2024 and mass production will begin in 2025. However, it seems that for various reasons, TSMC is considering participating in the 2nm project, and the specific plan has not yet been determined
