These include improved DNS over The HTTPS function, implemented in "Settings" > "Privacy & Security", is enabled by default and provides three layers of protection: default protection, enhanced protection and maximum protection.
The new version of Firefox will protect user privacy by default, and the browser will decide when to use secure DNS. At the same time, users can choose to enable the Enhanced Protection option to control when secure DNS is used and choose their preferred DNS provider from Cloudflare or NextDNS. Alternatively, you can choose to enable the "Maximum Protection" option, in which case Firefox will always use secure DNS over HTTPS, and provides security risk warnings before using system DNS, as well as warnings when secure DNS is unavailable. However, it should be noted that enabling this option may cause some websites to fail to load or have limited functionality.
