Background

SpringBoot itself provides a set of monitoring endpoints, which can view the basic information, health, configuration and other monitoring information of the application. It is easy to get started.

Note: The SpringBoot version used here: 2.1.4

Open Actuator

Add spring in Maven’s pom.xml file -boot-starter-actuator Dependencies:

<dependency>
    <groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId>
    <artifactId>spring-boot-starter-actuator</artifactId>
</dependency>

Run the project directly, and you will see the following output on the backend console:

2019-06- 26 18: 07 : 27.896 INFO 7868-- - [restartedMain] o.s.b.a.e.web.EndpointLinksResolver: Exposing 2 endpoint(s) beneath base path '/actuator'

Visit in browserhttp://localhost: 9000/actuator, the result is as follows:

That is, the actuator startup endpoint monitoring of SpringBoot2.0. The web side is loaded by default. By default, only info and health are the two visible endpoints (except Except for the actuator itself), see the official documentation

Expose other endpoints (not the same as the configuration before SpringBoot 2.0)

management:
  endpoints:
    web:
      exposure:
        include: "*"
        exclude: env,beans

The above configuration exposes except env, All endpoints except beans; after modifying the configuration, you will see the following output on the backend console:

2019-06-26 18: 16: 03.951 INFO 7868- - - [restartedMain] o.s.b.a.e.web.EndpointLinksResolver: Exposing 13 endpoint(s) beneath base path '/actuator'

Visit in the browser againhttp://localhost:9000/actuator, the result is as follows:

##Notes:

  • Although the endpoint is

    enabled, it still needs to be exposed before it can be accessed on the Web;

  • health By default, the endpoint only displays "status": "UP"; to display detailed information, configure: management.endpoint.health.show-details =always

  • #In practice, please choose the endpoint to open carefully!

The above configuration only achieves the acquisition of application monitoring information, but in fact there is already a management end specifically used to display these

json data. We will practice SpringBoot later. Admin is a visual application monitoring and management terminal provided by the community. The SpringBoot Admin documentation introduces itself:

codecentric’ s Spring Boot Admin is a community project to manage and monitor your Spring Boot® applications.The applications register with our Spring Boot Admin Client(via HTTP) or are discovered using Spring Cloud®(e.g.Eureka, Consul).The UI is just a Vue.js application on top of the Spring Boot Actuator endpoints.
