Windows 11 now accounts for 16.1% of modern Windows computers

AdDuplex has updated its Windows market share tracker, and it now believes that 16.1% of computers running Windows 10 or 11 have Windows 11 installed. AdDuplex has not released a new report since late November when Windows 11 was at 8.6%. Today’s data includes our installations in December and January, as well as all new computers purchased during the holidays that came with Windows 11 preinstalled.

Windows 11’s market share has nearly doubled since November, while usage of Windows 10 21H2 has more than tripled during the same period. AdDuplex says it will be interesting to see how these numbers stabilize over time as many computers don't meet the minimum requirements for Windows 11 and are forced to continue using aging Windows 10.
