Microsoft has made another update to Bing, bringing major improvements to it in different parts. Two notable improvements in the latest update are longer chat lengths on Bing and the ability to continue Bing Chat conversations into the Edge sidebar.
With so many new features being added to Bing every week, it’s easy for everyone to miss out on other improvements Bing is getting. Still, Microsoft highlighted them in its latest update this week. Bing's chatbots now have longer chat length limits, allowing users to submit input such as long documents in one go, according to the software company. With this, users can introduce more details and specific commands to Bing each round. Currently, chats are limited to 2,000 characters. Microsoft still hasn't revealed how big of an increase this update will bring.
On the other hand, Microsoft said that the chat features in Bing Chat and Edge sidebar will now complement each other. In this update, the company shared that you can "continue the conversation right where you left off in the sidebar," allowing you to switch between sidebar chat and Bing Chat without losing the context of the conversation with the bot. Speaking of sidebars, Microsoft has fixed some issues related to loading errors, although it says the problems will only "reduce."
This update comes on the heels of some major additions in Bing, including the rollout of Bing V98, which reduces Bing disengagement and response denial issues. The software giant also recently tested a dedicated image generator icon in the Edge sidebar, as the company continues to promote Bing's ability to create images for users. Bing has now launched another app, and Microsoft has finally integrated ChatGPT-based Bing Chat into SwiftKey Beta.
