Windows 11 recently gained support for new emoji that align with Microsoft’s Fluent Design Language. As part of the Emoji update, Microsoft has replaced the paperclip emoji with Clippy for Microsoft Office and enabled support for Emoji 13.1 in the Windows November 11, 2021 Update.
You can try out Windows 11’s shiny new emoji using the Windows key period (period) keyboard shortcut. These new emojis look modern and match the look and feel of Windows 11, and it's nice to see a new feature to personalize emoji colors to your liking.
You may recall that Microsoft actually promised to bring 3D emojis to Windows 11 as early as 2021, and quite a few people were excited about it. However, Microsoft failed to deliver the promised 3D-style Fluent Design emojis, and Windows 11 users can currently try simple 2D emojis.
Microsoft officials clarified that 3D emojis should not be released on Windows and that its social media team posted the "wrong graphics." Microsoft apologized for the error, but it looks like 3D emojis can't be ruled out.
This comes from Microsoft’s Nando Costa, who suggests that there will actually be a Windows 11 update that supports 3D emojis. In a blog post on LinkedIn, Microsoft officials explained that the work on emojis isn't quite complete yet, and that Microsoft plans to create new designs based on new Unicode versions every year.
Microsoft will also explore their own exclusive concepts. Additionally, Microsoft's Nando Costa clarified on Twitter that 3D emoji, which were originally teased last year, may still appear in Windows 11.
"Thank you, agreed! We're working on it," Costa said in response to a user who wanted to see 3D emojis on Windows 11.
The above is the detailed content of Windows 11 can still get Microsoft's 3D Fluent emojis. For more information, please follow other related articles on the PHP Chinese website!
