Please note that Edge Dev is one of Microsoft’s preview channels for testing early updates and new features before releasing them to the public. This means you may encounter more issues and bugs than the stable version. The following are known issues in this release:
- Users of certain ad blocking extensions may experience playback errors on YouTube. As a workaround, temporarily disabling the extension should allow playback to continue. For more information, see this help article.
- Some users are still experiencing an issue where all tabs and extensions crash immediately with a STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH error. The most common cause of this error is outdated security or antivirus software from vendors such as Symantec, and in these cases, updating the software will fix it.
- Kaspersky Internet Suite users who have the relevant extensions installed may sometimes see web pages such as Gmail fail to load. This glitch is due to the main Kaspersky software being out of date, so fix this by ensuring you have the latest version installed.
- Some users see "wobbly" behavior when using trackpad gestures or touchscreen scrolling, where scrolling in one dimension also causes the page to subtly scroll back and forth in another dimension. Note that this only affects certain websites and seems to be worse on certain devices. This is most likely related to the work we are doing to restore scrolling to the same behavior as Edge Legacy, so if you don't want this behavior you can temporarily disable the edge://flags/#edge-experimental-scrolling flag. its closed.
You can try Edge Dev on Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. If you don't want to test early updates, expect Microsoft Edge 102 to be released in the Beta channel the week of May 3, 2022, and in the Stable channel the week of June 23, 2022.
