4. Configure the database

To enable the Laravel application to access the MySQL database, corresponding configuration is required.

Open the .env file in the root directory of the Laravel application:

nano /var/www/laravel/.env

Fill the following information into the .env file:

DB_HOST=localhost
DB_DATABASE=database_name
DB_USERNAME=username
DB_PASSWORD=password

5. Run the Laravel application
