Microsoft has added a new feature to Edge that allows users to follow their favorite creators via a button in the address bar. However, so far, the ability to follow creators has only been available on video sites like YouTube. That's changing as Microsoft adds the ability to add news sites to your list of creators you follow.

When you start playing a video on YouTube in the Edge browser, you'll notice a "Follow this Creator" button to the left of the URL bar. If you start following a particular channel, even if you are not subscribed to it. This way, you'll never miss a creator's video, even if you're not a subscriber.

Similarly, you can now add news sites as your favorite creators so you never miss their important news articles. However, this feature is not currently available to all Edge users. You will need Edge Canary to use it. Additionally, as Leopeva64-2 pointed out, a "Follow this creator" button appears on some news sites.

Microsoft Edge Canary is where all the features roll out first, all of which are unfinished and unstable. This also applies to improvements to the "Follow this Creator" button; it's also incomplete, which is why it only appears on some news sites and not all. Microsoft is expected to improve it further and allow users to add any news website.
