How to Manually Select a Cellular Carrier Network on iPhone
No matter what iOS software your iPhone is running, you can follow the steps below to manually select your network provider on your iPhone.
- Go to Settings from your iPhone’s Home screen.
- In the settings menu, scroll down and tap "Cellular" to continue.
- Next, select the Network Selection option located under Personal Hotspot settings as shown in the screenshot below.
- Here you will see that the network selection is set to Automatic. Click once on the toggle switch to change it to manual.
- You need to wait a few seconds for all available networks to be displayed. Now, just select your carrier or partner network provider for international roaming and you're good to go.
Go ahead. Thanks to the manual selection, you have successfully accessed cellular service again.
After manually selecting a network provider using the steps above, you can click the toggle button to enable automatic selection again. Doing this will not disconnect you from the network you are connected to.
It's important to note that you can only successfully connect to the network of your SIM card or carrier that your provider partners with for roaming. If you select any other network from the manual selection menu, your iPhone will try to connect and eventually display "No Service" again.
