AcrylicMenus

This is a proof-of-concept micro-application that applies acrylic effects to almost all existing Win32 context menus on Windows 10 and Windows 11 via the native Win32 hooking API.

Limitations and Known Issues

• Minimum supported Windows 10 version: 1903
• There is a slight delay before the blur effect is applied
• Temporarily lacking Support for certain menus (e.g. in Task Manager)
• Ugly appearance on Windows 10 (can be fixed by modifying the msstyles file)

Installation Tutorial

Note: It is not recommended to start the application outside the virtual machine if you want to avoid restarting due to deletion of the DLL.

This application is not yet stable and therefore cannot (and should not) be permanently installed.

After downloading and unzipping the archive, launch Injector.exe - it will inject the DLL that applies the blur effect to the context menu. To uninstall it, press any key in the open console window.
