Apple’s next-generation iPhone 14 will not use ProMotion displays across the board. This claim follows recent rumors that Apple will use ProMotion displays in all iPhone 14 models.

In response to a question about the possibility of all iPhone 14 models getting ProMotion displays, the tipster said that BOE does not currently have enough LTPO capacity.

BOE provides the display for regular iPhone models, while Samsung is tasked with providing the display for the “Pro” model. As a result, analysts say that while the highest-spec iPhone 14 models will continue to enjoy the benefits of a 120 Hz display, regular models will likely stick with a 60 Hz screen refresh rate.

Do not rule out the possibility of Apple adding a high refresh rate screen to its non-Pro version of the iPhone in the future. In fact, we may finally see a full ProMotion display in next year's iPhone 15. In other words, non-Pro iPhone 15 models may gain display technology.

Getting back to the iPhone 14, rumors suggest that the regular model will offer at least 6GB of RAM, compared to the 4GB of RAM in the current non-Pro iPhone 13. The Pro model will reportedly feature a 48MP main camera and upgraded minimum storage from 128GB to 256GB, while regular iPhone 14 models will start at 64GB.

Meanwhile, Apple is expected to hold an event in September to launch its new iPhone 14 series.
