How to add songs to iCloud Music Library from PC
Before you begin, it’s important to remember that iCloud Music Library is a feature only available to users who subscribe to Apple Music or iTunes Match. So, without further ado, let’s see the steps:
- Open iTunes for Windows and click on the “File” option from the menu bar located below the playback controls as shown below.
- Now, select "Add files to library" to continue.
- This will launch File Explorer on your computer. Use Explorer to browse and select the song file, then click Open to import the song to iTunes.
- Now, if you look for a song in your library, you'll find a dotted cloud icon next to the song title. This indicates that the song is not yet in your iCloud Music Library. To fix this, click on the three-dot icon next to it.
- You will get more choices. Click "Add to iCloud Music Library" and wait a few seconds for the song to upload to iCloud.
That’s all. Once completed, you will no longer see the cloud icon next to the song title.
You can also repeat the above steps to add other songs to your iCloud Music Library. After uploading, you can delete the local song files stored on your computer. Uploaded songs will also be immediately available for streaming on all your Apple devices.
