Surface Laptop Studio gets speech clarity and touchpad improvements

Microsoft announced Voice Clarity for Surface Laptop Studio and other AI-driven features to make online meetings “more human.” Voice Clarity uses AI to cancel echo, duplex conversations, and background noise. Additionally, Voice Clarity supports high-bandwidth voice capture, making your voice sound "real" and less artificial.

Microsoft is quick to deliver the first promised AI improvements to Surface Studio laptops. While we still don't know the availability of automatic framing, portrait background blur, and eye contact, voice clarity can already improve your video conferencing.

Voice Clarity is available in the April 2022 Surface Laptop Studio firmware update. Here are all the changes in the latest version, with a detailed driver list provided below:

Please note that Voice Clarity is currently only available for Surface Laptop Studio, but Microsoft has promised to make it available to more Surface devices in the future.
