It’s been nearly a year and a half since Microsoft released Windows 11, and nearly six months since its first major feature update, version 22H2. We look forward to releasing another major update anytime. Thanks to Build 25276 and code digging, we know a lot about the important upcoming features of Windows 11.
Microsoft is working on two new features for File Explorer - a new home page and a side or details pane. The new pane is hidden in the sandbox environment of Windows 11 Build 25276 and uses familiar modern controls that may remind you of the new XAML interface in Windows 11.
Unlike other elements, XAML also uses web components, which can be easily updated through Windows Update. With XAML, Microsoft can provide powerful, flexible, and reliable controls regardless of the UI stack: Win32, Windows Forms, WPF, or native UWP.
