How to reset the system on Apple computers
1. First turn on your Mac, and then immediately hold down the Command (⌘) and R keys.
2. Release these two buttons when you see the Apple logo, rotating globe, or other startup screen.
3. The system may prompt you to enter a password, such as the firmware password, or the password of the administrator user of this Mac.
