How to cut out images with PS lasso tool

Cutout method:
1. Open the "ps" software. (I am using psCS4) as shown below

2. Open a cap badge picture with a background in ps, as shown below

3. Double-click the layer on the right. When "Layer 0" appears, press "OK" as shown below

4. Right-click "Layer 0" , click "Copy Layer", when "Copy of Layer 0" appears, press "OK" as shown below.
