Modify the private IP address

You can directly modify the private IP of the ECS instance in the VPC, or you can change the private IP of the ECS instance by changing the switch to which the ECS instance belongs.

Operation steps

Log in to the ECS management console.

In the left navigation bar of ECS, click Instances to open the instance list, and then select a region.

In the Action column of the target instance, click More > Stop.

After the instance stops running, click the ID of the target instance to enter the instance details page.

In the Configuration Information area, click More > Modify the private IP.

In the Modify Private Network IP dialog box, select the switch to be replaced, and then click Modify.

Make sure that the availability zone of the selected switch is the same as the availability zone of the current switch.

Note

If you do not need to switch the switch of the ECS instance, you can directly modify the private IP.
