Microsoft announced the launch of a new Windows Desktop project, an online developer tool dedicated to simplifying data analysis and processing for obtaining application performance and application debugging.
As shown in the picture above, developers can access the comprehensive performance of added EXE files on the Dashboard, and there are also options to track more files. The task of processing a new file involves downloading an unsigned file, signing it with the same certificate as someone's desktop application, and uploading a signed file to the platform. This allows Microsoft to map code signing certificates to collect telemetry from all applications signed with the same certificate, making it easy to track multiple EXE files at once.
#This tool allows developers to access data through APIs instead of relying on channels. After this project goes online, it will replace the Microsoft Sysdev Partner Portal, and interested developers can access it for free here.
