Today, in order to experience the new functions of SQL Server 2005, I decided to kill the local SQL Server 2000, installed a SQL Server 2005, and experienced many new functions. At this time, I suddenly remembered that there are still some DTS improvements that need to be done. It was not completed, so I used SQL Server Management Studio to connect to the SQL Server 2000 server and opened the DTS package. When I was about to edit it, an error message appeared: Editing the DTS package requires the SQL Server 2000 DTS Designer component. To use this feature, please install the special WEB download file "SQL Server 2000 DTS Designer Component". In other words, SQL Server Management Studio of SQL Server 2005 cannot edit DTS 2000 (DTS of SQL Server 2000) by default. To solve this problem, Microsoft has added a patch for users to download. After installing this patch, you can edit DTS packages like SQL Server 2000.
