Installation and upgrade of MySQL 4.1_PHP tutorial

4.1 is an alpha beta, this version is not made for fool installers or has many inconveniences. However, I quite like the distribution of
compressed packages :) The following are my steps for a new installation and upgrade to 3.23.49.
A fresh installation
Use WinRAR to decompress the files to the C:mysql directory (default directory, worry free!!), and execute
c:mysql inmysqld-??? --installnet start mysql
It is very simple. If you install it in another directory, remember to modify the path in the configuration file as mentioned before!
Second upgrade installation
Whether it is from 3.23.x It makes no big difference whether you upgrade or upgrade from 4.0.x!
First of all, you need to back up the old database and prepare a regret medicine for yourself just in case! !
Then stop the current mysql database and remove it from the service. If WinMySQLAdmin is still running, be sure to close it!
Except for the data directory, all old version files will be overwritten with version 4.1 files!
Start mysql from the command line with c:mysql inmysqld-opt --skip-grant-tables, and then execute
c:mysql inmysql Power table.
If the above steps are correct, stop mysql c:mysql inmysqladmin -u root shutdown.
Then reinstall it as a system service according to your personal needs!
