As shown in the picture, the small plus sign cannot be clicked, so I can't see the source code, I can only see those two lines.

IE's developer tools also encountered problems. You can edit the entire source code there, but to see the result after editing, you can only edit the code of the entire page. Save it as another HTML document and not display it immediately.

After tinkering with these two browsers for a long time, I was frustrated to find that it was easier to just copy the code and edit it with Notepad. Am I too stupid or these two browsers just don’t have me? Want a feature?

What I want is to be able to click on the webpage opened on the Internet in the browser to view the source code, and then change it to the webpage I want. I want to be able to debug and see the effect in real time. Of course, You can also copy the source code, create a txt or html document locally, edit the source code into it, and then open it with a browser, but this is very troublesome.

This is my first time posting, so I hope you will take care of me. Thank you in advance.

You can change it online, but you have to save it in the end.

Use Google Chrome
It has a firebug-like function
Allows direct editing of the page
There is a plug-in that can directly save the modified file (but I don’t use this because it feels very dangerous)
