Use explosives to clear another set of rocks nearby, revealing a long tunnel leading west. You don't need to enter the tunnel; just clear the rocks and speak to Selmie once more. She'll express her gratitude and leave the cave. Head back to her cabin at the top of the mountains, where she'll thank you again and insist that you take the Strong Zonaite Shield. If your inventory is full, drop a shield to acquire it, and then complete the quest.

NOTE: After this, you can talk to Selmie to participate in a shield surfing "race". This involves descending the mountain while riding your shield. Winning the expert route will earn you a Knight's Shield, which isn't a particularly impressive reward.
