Prepare for an extensive side adventure in the Depths, specifically at the Great Abandoned Central Mine, which is directly beneath the Temple of Time Ruins on the Great Plateau. The Great Plateau features four chasms, one in each cardinal direction from the Temple of Time, where the shrines were located in Breath of the Wild. Remember, only the north and south chasms lead to a Lightroot, so choose one of these to illuminate your surroundings. Here's a map to guide you:

Upon reaching the central mine, you'll encounter a zonai hologram screen and a "researcher":

This "researcher" is actually a Yiga Clan member. After enjoying the scene, interact with the screen to activate a Construct, which will also create a portal for fast travel back to this location. During this interaction, the Construct will grant you a new ability called Autobuild:

Autobuild occupies a slot in your ability wheel and is incredibly useful. It enables you to instantly construct items using nearby zonai parts without manual assembly. The ability has a wide activation radius and will start building once it detects the necessary components. Note that it may be height-sensitive, so you might need to adjust the vehicle's position to gather all the pieces. After obtaining Autobuild, locate and descend into the Chasm to reach the mine, and don't forget to activate the Lightroot.

Once at the mine, approach Kohga, triggering a scene that leads into a boss fight. The battle unfolds in two phases, each with added challenges. In the first phase, Kohga primarily charges at you to punch. You can easily counter this by shooting him with an arrow to dislodge him from his robot, then relentlessly attack him. Be cautious of his occasional red shield; simply lower your bow to make him drop it, then quickly shoot him again.

In the second phase, Kohga surrounds himself with a blue shield most of the time. He may also lower his arms to deploy bumpy bombs that emit lasers. To evade this, run under him; the attack inflicts minimal damage (about 3 hearts), so you can choose to take the hit if necessary.

To defeat him in this phase, stun him with electricity (Riju's power is particularly effective here) or attach items to your arrows. Once stunned, attack him continuously to move him towards the electric fence around the arena. Be mindful of his tracking bombs; use Recall to neutralize them. Although he only has two phases, the second is significantly tougher than previous encounters.

After defeating Kohga, enjoy the ensuing scenes, marking the end of the quest. Open the nearby chests to claim 100 Crystallized Charges and a Diamond. Additionally, speak to the nearby Construct to acquire the Rocket Platform schematic.
