Pokémon GO Sweet Discoveries quest steps, research tasks, rewards and bonuses

Pokémon Go's "Sweet Discoveries" event brings Applin, Flapple, and Appletun to the game! The event features timed research, field research, and several bonuses, all revolving around apples.

Timed Research: Sweet Discoveries Quest

The Sweet Discoveries Timed Research quest runs until April 29th, 8 pm (local time). Complete it for valuable rewards. (Spoilers below!)

Step 1 of 1:

• Catch 10 Pokémon - 1 Mossy Lure Module
• Catch 25 Pokémon - Munna encounter
• Catch 50 Pokémon - Bidoof encounter
• Make 15 Nice Throws - Bounsweet encounter
• Make 30 Nice Throws - Komala encounter
• Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon - Skwovet encounter
• Use 20 Berries to help catch Pokémon - Delibird encounter
• Use a Lure Module - Cherubi encounter

Rewards: One Sweet Apple and one Tart Apple.

Field Research Tasks

Event-exclusive field research tasks are available by spinning PokéStops. These can be completed after the event ends.

• Use 3 Berries to help catch Pokémon - Delibird, Komala, and Skwovet encounter
• Use 10 Berries to help catch Pokémon - 1,000 Stardust
• Feed your buddy 5 times - 1,000 Stardust

Komala and Skwovet encounters are available through event-exclusive research.

Event Bonuses and Other Details

The Sweet Discoveries event features:

• Increased Shiny Rates: Delibird, Skwovet (wild and eggs), and Cherubi (eggs).
• Double Catch Candy.
• Berries from catching Delibird and Skwovet.
• Apples appear when using Mossy Lure Modules.
• Halved Egg Hatch Distance (first 3 eggs hatched via the Egg hatching widget, during event hours only).

Applin, Flapple, and Appletun are now available! Evolving Applin requires apples.

Increased spawn rates for: Alolan Rattata, Abra, Bellsprout, Snorlax, Shuckle, Delibird, Gulpin, Bidoof, Munna, Bounsweet, Komala, Skwovet, and Applin.

7km Eggs from Gifts or Gift Exchange on Routes will hatch: Delibird, Cherubi, Munchlax, or Skwovet.

PokéStop Showcases are active, and Applin-themed avatar items are available in the shop.

A paid ($1.99 or equivalent) Timed Research quest is also available (nonrefundable, cannot be purchased with PokéCoin, shareable with Great Friends or higher). Complete it before April 29th, 8 pm (local time).
