There will be new Strands games every day. The game will present you with a grid of letters of six rows and eight columns. The goal is to find a set of words that have common ground and you will get a clue about the topic. When you find the subject word, it will be highlighted in blue.

You also need to find a special word called the Complete Letter Puzzle. This will tell you what these words have in common. The full letter puzzle connects at least both sides of the board, but it may not start or end there. Although the subject word will not be a proper noun, the complete letter puzzle can be a proper noun. When you find the full letter puzzle, it will be highlighted in yellow.

Each letter is used only once in a topic word and full letter puzzle. You can connect letters vertically, horizontally, and diagonally, and you can change directions in the middle of the word. If you are playing games on the touch screen, double-click the last letter to submit your guess.

If you find three valid words with at least four letters (not part of the subject), you will unlock the Prompt button. Clicking this button will highlight the letters that make up one of the topic words.
