The featured Pokemon for the May 2025 Community Day will be Pawmi, a Pokemon introduced in the franchise's most recent generation. With Pawmi being the Community Day Pokemon, its spawn rate will be drastically increased during the three hours of this event, replacing all other Pokemon available to catch in the wild.

One of the most exciting bonuses that comes with being a Community Day Pokemon is its Shiny odds being boosted significantly, making it relatively easy to acquire a Shiny Pawmi if you are playing during this event. Excitingly, this will be Shiny Pawmi's Pokemon Go debut, available for the first time during this event.

With the countless Pawmi encounters available during this Community Day, this will be a great opportunity to stock up on Pawmi Candy, a resource needed to evolve and power-up Pawmi. Pawmi has two further evolutions: Pawmo, requiring 25 Pawmi Candy to complete, then Pawmot, requiring another 100 Pawmi Candy and traveling 25 km with Pawmo as your Buddy Pokemon.

There will be a Featured Attack up for grabs for this Community, giving you the chance to acquire a Pawmot with a rare and unique move. If you evolve Pawmo, Pawmi's evolution, into Pawmot from the start of this Community Day until Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 10pm local time, they will learn the Charged Attack Brick Break.

Community Day Bonuses

There will be plenty of bonuses to take advantage of during this Community Day, available to all players who are logged in during this event. These bonuses include:

• You can evolve Pawmo into Pawmot after traveling only 1 km with them as your Buddy Pokemon, instead of 25 km (until May 18, 2025, at 10pm local time).
• Eggs put into Incubators during this Community Day will have 25 percent of the Hatch Distance.
• Earn double the Candy when catching Pokemon.
• Double the chance to earn Candy XL when catching Pokemon (Trainer Level 31 and higher).
• Lure Modules used will last for three hours.
• Incense used will last for three hours.
• Taking Snapshots may lead to a Community Day surprise encounter.
• Make one extra Special Trade.
• All trades will cost half the Stardust.

You can purchase Community Day Special Research, costing $1.99 USD through the Pokemon Go in-game store. Those who purchase the Pawmi Community Day - exclusive Special Research will be provided with different in-game tasks to complete, rewarding you with the following when completed:
