Author: Kris Holt

It's time to play the "Connections" game again, this time it's the weekend version. This is my first time writing this game guide, so please be patient and wait for me to find the feeling, and I hope that starting at least Saturday, I can help everyone like our friend Kris.

Before we begin explaining the tips and answers for "Connections" Saturday, May 3, let's review it:

How to play "Connections"

"Connections" is the most popular puzzle game in the New York Times game after major crosswords. It is a very fun and free game that will make you think about it every day. Click here to play the game.

The goal of the game is to find out the connection between four groups and four words from 16 words. They may be terms in a specific category, or they may be small text puzzles that require you to find out the relationship between words before and after. The game will be more difficult.

There is only one correct answer, you only have a limited number of attempts, so you can't try it casually until you find the answer. The difficulty level is color-coded, usually from yellow, blue-green to purple, and the difficulty increases in sequence, so pay attention to this when starting to connect words.

You select the four words you think are related, and if it is correct, you will get a solution result and a line of answers lighted up tells you how they are connected. If you get close to the correct answer, it will tell you that only one word is missing. Similarly, you will lose by making four mistakes, but if you want to know the answer without failing, you can come here or delete your web cookie and try again. If you want to play more puzzles, you can subscribe to the New York Times game to access the full archive of all past puzzles. So, let's go to the prompts and answers:

NYT ‘Connections’ Hints And Answers For Saturday, May 3

I've been playing for a long time and I know when I got cheated, so words like LIT, FIRE, HELL and SMOKE are too obvious to put together and end up with the first yellow group, which is not bad.

The green group is a bit tricky, I found that, again, because SMOKE seems to be able to be placed elsewhere, but LICK and CREAM have no other ice cream-like clues, so I think it must be something else, that's it.

I actually got the Blue Group very quickly today, maybe because I made a living by writing, but I do use all of these abbreviations a lot, so it's fascinating me.

Purple group? Don't mention it. This is too difficult. I think ORGO and COMP are college courses and I do get NETI, but I think this is probably abbreviation for the course I don't know. Eventually, the internet connection showed up.

Hope you enjoyed today's puzzle and my first guide! Please tell me how to improve.

The picture remains the same in its original format and position.
