Elden Ring's "Snow Mountain Shadow" Mikaela Followers' Mission Guide: Detailed Explanation of the Ending and Rewards

Spoiler warning ahead! This article contains spoilers of the Mikaela follower mission in "Snow Mountain Shadow" DLC and the Enil Ilim incident, which belongs to the late game content.

Mikara's followers come from every corner of the Shadowland in "Eldon Ring of Far: Shadow of Snow Mountain". They each have different motives, but they all respect Mikara. However, certain events in the game will change all this, your actions as a fading person will affect which followers will appear later and what their goals are.

Will they help you, or will they try to kill you?

While we provide a separate guide to NPCs and their personal missions in Shadow of the Snow Mountains, here we will discuss all the key points that will determine which Mikayla followers will become your allies or enemies in Enil Ilim, and the rewards they drop in .

"Snow Mountain Shadow" Mikaela Followers Mission Guide: All Allies and Enemies

At the opening of Shadow of Snow Mountain, your interaction with Mikayla's followers—Ansbach, Moore, Leda, Freya, Horncent, Dyne Danne and Siolier—does not matter.

After Mikara's rune breaks (this happens in the eastern part of Skadu Altus, probably after you explore the castle of Ensis), the character's attitude changes.

In the late battle of Enier Ilim, Needle Knights Leda and Dance Dann seem to always be enemies , no matter what choice you make. However, Freya, Ansbach, Moore, Ciolier and Horncent have different fates.

Red Maned Freya

Let's start with Freya, Red Mane . After talking to her at the Berulatta settlement, you will explore the specimen warehouse of Shadow Castle, where you will find Ansbach on the first floor and Freya on the seventh floor. If you talk to Ansbach first, then talk to Freya, and then talk to Ansbach about Freya's issues, Ansbach will give you a letter - Freya's letter.

• If you hand over the letter to Freya, she will become an enemy in Enil Ilim and you will get her equipment and Freya's giant sword after defeating her.
• If you didn't hand the letter to Freya, she wouldn't be in Enier Ilim.

Hornsent

Next is Horncent . There is little else you can do except feed him a scorpion stew, but once Ryda aims to him, you can actually choose to invade him with Ryda in the main square of Shadow Castle (and vice versa). If you choose to do this, this invasion must be done before entering the Mesmer Arena.

• Helping Leda invade Horncente, he will not appear in Enier Ilim. You will get his equipment and his sickle. Talk to Leda afterwards to get the tearing cross-tree.
• Help Horncent invade Leda, you will get Leda's rune and her battle ash: Swift Slash (Leda will still appear as an enemy in Enier Ilim).

If you're not killing Horncent here (or completely ignore the invasion), he's still likely to show up in Enier Ilim, depending on what you're doing in Mesmer Arena.

If you summon him to fight and talk to him afterwards, but before rest he will invade you on your way to the Romina Arena in the Rauch monument, you can only kill him. This means he won't show up in Enier Ilim.

If you did not kill Horncente and/or ignore the invasion and then did not summon him to fight Mesmer, he would not invade you at the Rauch Monument and would appear as an enemy at Enier Ilim, where he would drop his equipment after his death.

Sir Ansbach

As for Sir Ansbach , you should look for an item in the specimen warehouse called the Sacred Ritual Scroll , you can give it to him. After the incident with Ledar and Horncent, she will now turn her eyes to Ansbach, and you should be able to find the summoning marks of Ledar and Ansbach on the first floor of the specimen warehouse.

• Helping Leda invade Ansbach, Ansbach will die, which means he will not appear in Enil Ilim (or enemy) as an ally. You will have the option to summon the Bloody Noble Natan in his place at Enier Ilim. You will also get Ansbach's equipment and his longbow.
• Help Ansbach fight back Leda, and if you give him the sacred ritual scroll, Ansbach may still appear in Enier Ilim as an ally. If you haven't invaded her before, you'll also get Ansbach's longbow and Ryda's runes here.

Ansbach is one of the few NPCs that will not become an enemy in Enier Ilim no matter what decision you make. He either dies or stays in the warehouse (if you don't give him a scroll of sacred rituals), or appears as an ally in Enil Ilim.

Moore

Next is the Moore who collects items. After Mikara's rune breaks, he will give you a dialogue choice.

• Tell him to "put it behind", and Moore will be the enemy in Enier Ilim. He will drop his equipment and bells after he dies.
• Tell him "forever sad" that Moore will disappear and will not appear in Enil Ilim as an ally or enemy.

If you tell Moore to be sad forever, you can then find his body outside the Crusader Church—and plunder his equipment.

Siolli

Last but not least is Siolal . He also has his own long mission, including a rift to the Costa ça. Once you complete Siol's side quest and exhaust his conversation (this must be done before burning the seal tree), he will invade you and drop San Trina's smile talisman, who will be summoned as an ally in Enier Ilim.

It is also important to note that both Siolal and Ansbach can be summoned as allies at the same time. After the Enil Ilim battle, you can also summon them in the final boss battle. Then you can collect their remaining equipment after the battle is over.

So, following this logic, keep Ansbach alive, give him a sacred ritual scroll and complete Siol's side quests before burning the seal tree, you should be able to have both of them fight alongside you against Moore, Freya, Leda and Dane. The premise is that you also complete the minimum quest steps of Moore and Freya – a letter to Freya and tell Moore to "put it behind" – you will fight both of them. Instead, you will only fight Ryda and Dann.

If you are not involved in any invasion of Ledar against Horncent or Ansbach, or have done the "right" thing - helping Horncent in Shadow Fort and helping Ansbach in the specimen warehouse, then all Mikela's followers should be in the battle of Enier Ilim. After defeating them, you can collect the following items.

Please note that the equipment of Siolier and Ansbach can only be collected after the final boss.

• Freya's giant sword and armor set - If you give her Freya's letter, you can also get the Golden Lion Shield.
• Leda's Rune and Armor Set - If you don't invade her with Horncent in Shadow Castle, you'll miss her Battle Ash: Swift Slash. If you invade her, you will miss the tear-up cross-tree and the revenge cross-tree.
• Ansbach's armor set, obsidian flakes and Ansbach's rage blade – if you don't invade Leda with him at Shadow Castle, you'll miss his longbow and revenge cross-tree. You can also get it with Ryda invading him, but you won't be able to get the rest of his gear.
• Siol's Hidden Needle and Armor Set - You have to complete Siol's side quests to make him an ally and get these items.
• Moore's bell, patina shield and armor set - don't tell him "forever sad" or you'll miss it!
• Dann's Steps and Armor Set – You can plunder the Dry Ye Dann's Armor Set elsewhere in the DLC, but you can only get Dann's Steps after this battle.
