Solve the problem of repeatedly switching to selective boot by Windows system configuration (MSConfig)

Have you ever encountered the problem of Windows system configuration (MSConfig) continuing to restore to selective boot? If you need to start normally, how to do it? This article will provide several ways to help you solve this problem.

Selective start and normal start

MSConfig (System Configuration) allows you to enable or disable applications and services during Windows startup. MSConfig usually offers three startup options: normal startup, diagnostic startup, and selective startup. This section mainly discusses selective startup and normal startup.

  • Normal Startup: After selecting Normal Startup, all device drivers and services will be loaded when the computer starts. This may extend the startup time of the computer due to the high preparation work.
  • Selective startup: After selective startup is enabled, you can choose to enable the Load System Services and Load Startup Items options. This option helps identify and troubleshoot problems. However, when using this startup option, the programs you need may be disabled by default.
