Choose The Right Card Pack

During the early hours of the game, focus on Development Packs as they give you cards that are focused on improving the kingdom's resources and population growth. You'll be gaining Farmland, House, and other valuable cards from this pack.

Build Walls Without Wasting Resources

Once you unlock the option to place walls, you'll be tempted to place as many as you can to keep the kingdom safe. While this can work, a better option is to limit the number of walls you place based on your environment.

Notice carefully, and you'll find different tiles where you can place a single wall that connects to another, without having to always build a rectangle or square to enclose a space. If it blocks the enemy's path, it's all worth it.

Rather, use the map to your advantage to place as few walls as possible while protecting your territory. This is a neat trick that you'll master once you play more than a few turns across different maps.

You can test this out by first facing a battle with little to no walls. Make note of where the enemy can move and where they're restricted.

Cast Spells During A Battle

Just like other cards, spells are a form of item you can use from your deck. However, instead of placing it like a building or troop before a battle, you have to use these cards when the enemies are coming in to fight you.

Fire spells are highly effective as they can cause massive area-of-effect damage, while something like a tornado can displace enemies for a few seconds. This will be based on your strategy, and how you overcome incoming hordes of opponents.

Ideally, you can keep these for emergencies when troops aren't able to defend themselves. Or, you can do this as the first major attack once the enemies spawn.

Progress Through Quests

While quests don't take up the majority of the gameplay, they are important for you to keep track of. After every turn or two, you'll encounter a story prompt where something's going on with the kingdom. Here, you'll need to make a choice or two.

Sometimes, you'll be asked to send your soldiers to help out with something. Most of the time, you'll need to spend money and resources on discovery. It's up to you as to how you deal with these.

If you wish to keep a balanced approach, there's usually an option that lets you spend fewer resources and gain the favor of the person in question. While this may be a diplomatic approach, it may not earn you major rewards.

Always keep an eye on which month you're in. Before you know it, your time with the game will be over, and you'll be starting a new journey before completing certain goals.

Purchase Cards That Matter
