IFTTT, a simple and easy-to-use web tool, may soon become an integral part of you, is now officially open to the public and brings some new features. IFTTT stands for "if this, then that", which is a phrase commonly used by developers, indicating the relationship between two events. IFTTT simplifies this phrase so that it can be used easily for everyone. Want to automatically send your favorite Google Reader entries to Instapaper? Or receive a text reminder when your favorite comedian tweets that he is coming to your hometown to perform? All of this can be easily achieved without any development experience.

IFTTT is mainly used with social websites, some of which make you wonder if "social networks" really mean.
