Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 reintroduces Death Perception, the Black Ops 4 Perk-A-Cola that lets players see zombies through walls. While it doesn't boost damage or survivability, its utility is crucial for surviving later rounds and close-quarters combat in smaller maps.
Need a refresher on this helpful perk? This guide covers Death Perception's functionality, map availability, and all six available augments.
Death Perception highlights hidden zombies with an orange glow, improving awareness of zombie locations. The default range is approximately 15 meters, expandable with certain augments. It doesn't affect damage or wall penetration, but augments can significantly enhance its benefits.
Death Perception is available at the Perk-A-Cola machine in "The Tomb" and all Der Wunderfizz machines. The Der Wunderfizz appears on every map at Round 25, allowing purchase after accumulating enough Essence.
Death Perception offers six augments: three major and three minor. Critical Eye synergizes well with Deadshot Daiquiri's headshot multiplier, particularly effective with high-RPM weapons like the PPSH-41. Extra Change aids early-round Essence gathering, while Bird's Eye View provides a constant minimap scan for zombies. While not as game-changing as PhD Flopper or Stamin-Up, these augments offer valuable quality-of-life improvements.
Major Augments | |
---|---|
Treasure Hunter | Reveals hidden items in loot containers and highlights special/elite kills. |
Death Stare | Chance to instantly kill low-health enemies with elemental weakness damage. |
Critical Eye | Small chance to convert body shots into critical hits. |
Minor Augments | |
Bird's Eye View | Increases minimap scan rate. |
Extra Change | Uncovers Essence in more locations. |
Further Insight | Increases perception radius. |
