The Sims 4 can be played with just the base game, but the real fun begins in the expansions. With The Sims 4: City Living, you'll be able to live your big-city dreams in San Myshuno, which draws inspiration from around the globe and packs it into the colorful city.
While living your Sim life in San Myshuno, you'll be able to attend a variety of festivals that take place. These are reoccurring events that you can visit, with each one being unique. Here, you can learn about every festival that takes place in San Myshuno within The Sims 4: City Living.
Every festival has a set day of the week that it takes place, but they don't happen every single week. For example, if a Monday goes by with no Humor and Hijinks Festival, wait until the following Monday. Additionally, every festival is a great opportunity to meet new Sims.

First up, we have the Humor And Hijinks Festival. Occurring every Monday, this festival lets you join either the humor (Jokesters) or hijinks (Pranksters) team and perform relevant actions to win the festival.
To join a team, you'll need to drink from the fountain that corresponds with the one you want to be on.
If you join the Jokesters team, you'll need to choose comedy interactions with other Sims in attendance. If, on the other hand, you join the Pranksters, you'll need to do mischief interactions. The festival is all in good fun, but every action will bring you one step closer to victory.
While at the Humor and Hijinks Festival, Sims can set off their own fireworks, buy some merch, and do some stand-up comedy too.

If your Sim is a bit of a nerd, then this is the festival for them! Here, you'll really be able to put your geek abilities to the test by competing in a Hackathon, taking the Ultimate Gaming Test, and building a rocket.
The three main skills that you can find at the GeekCon are Rocket Science, Video Games, and Programming. The three main activities here will test a Sim's level in these skills, but by simply being at the GeekCon, Sims build skills faster.
So, if you want your Sim to level up their gaming skill, simply attend GeekCon and play some video games!

Spicy food fans, rejoice! At the Spice Festival, Sims can try a variety of spicy dishes from tables and stalls set up. The main feature of this festival is to eat spicy food and increase your spice tolerance.
If your Sim is up for the task, they can also partake in the Spicy Challenge, which requires them to eat the world's spiciest bowl of curry. It's worth noting that eating spicy food can make your Sims uncomfortable and even breathe fire on occasion.

Looking for love in the big city? The Romance Festival is, well... romantic. Here, Sims can drink tea to put them in a flirty mood, throw flower petals, and even ask a guru for romantic advice. If your Sim is planning on proposing any time soon, then this is a great place to do so; there is a wedding arch in the festival that lets Sims get married right away.
Overall, this is a festival geared towards finding love. When attending, you'll find tons of flirty Sims that you can flirt back with. There are some Romance Festival-specific interactions that you can do, so if you have a single Sim, be sure to head here.

Last but not least, we have the Flea Market. This festival focuses on buying and selling unique items. If you are looking to buy, you can find a variety of unique furniture pieces. These are furniture items that need to be purchased at the Flea Market before unlocking in Build/Buy mode.
At the Flea Market, you'll also find tables where Sims sell little collectibles. For those who want to turn a profit, you'll also be able to set up items to sell! This is a great way to earn some extra cash in a unique way. Additionally, if you talk to any present merchants, you'll be able to trade items.
Boxes of Junk may appear around the Flea Market. If you rummage through them, you may find unique posters and snowglobes!
