"Dark Shadow: Adventure 33" Adventure Log Collection Guide
The Expedition Log is the main collection of Shadow of Blur: Expedition 33, the only relics left by previous expeditions, usually telling the ending of each expedition. There are also some mysterious hidden logs hidden in unexpected places in the game, be sure to pay attention to those unique shiny diamonds!
"Blurred Shadow" has at least one diary in almost every area, and many areas even have multiple diaries. Even if you think you've searched somewhere thoroughly, there's still a chance you'll miss some at the end of the game. The following lists the locations of all logs in the game so that you can go back and finish your collection.
Act 1 log
These logs can be found on the first island; if you missed any logs, you can come back to collect them in future chapters.
Expedition No. 87
This log is located on the main story path at the end of the prairie, right in the room where the first white Nefron was.
Expedition No. 68
You can find this log on the main story path, just before you see the first giant Nevron as you walk through the Flying Falls (after reunited with Mel).
Expedition Team No. 53
To the west of the northern exit of the Flying Waterfall is the nest of small budworms. Search for the lost logs of Expedition 53 in the tunnel behind the small white Nefron.
Expedition Team No. 63
In the ancient temple, the main path goes to the right into a cave with blue lanterns. Don't enter the cave, keep walking straight and you'll find a circular area with a pigment cage and logs of the 63-year expedition.
Expedition Team No. 52
In the village of Gestra, walk along the arena sign until you find Dr. Gestra. There is a hard-to-discover alley between the doctor and the nearest arena sign, with a diary hidden inside.
Expedition Team No. 66
Follow him with a grapple hook when Esky pushed down the stone pillar and opened the path to his nest. On the next path, look for the fork on the right where you will find this log.
Expedition Team No. 62
On the mainland map, head to the ancient temple where colorful Brule lurks. Once you have Esky, smash the blue rocks to the north of the colored creature location; the logs are right behind them.
Expedition No. 38
When you come to the Yellow Harvest Zone where there are ponds and statues, take the road to the right and go up the mountain. You will find logs on the grass on the top of the mountain. You can also find the death bomb image in the crack on the right side of the mountain road, as well as the grapple point behind the log leading to the hidden merchant.
Expedition No. 44
In the same area of the Yellow Harvest Zone (Reaper's Clearing), head to the trailing edge of the main area, close to the ruins that will let you start climbing. There is a broken jar on the grass behind and a diary next to it. Be sure to collect it before you start climbing so you don't have to go back.
Expedition Team No. 58
As you climb the mountains in the Yellow Harvest Zone, you will find the flag of Expedition No. 68 in a cave. Expedition No. 58 also found the flag; look for a red cave on the left where you will find their final burial place.
Expedition Team No. 78
On the Shilang Cliff, when you see the first Nevron, walk uphill to the right. Climb up there and keep moving forward and you will find Expedition 78 and their logs. There is also a pigment cage in the cave behind their bodies.
Expedition Team No. 56
After passing through the caves of Shilang Cliff, take the road to the left to a dead end where there is a street light and a diary. Nevron's weakness is dark damage if Syl has not activated yet, switch her to your team.
Expedition No. 50
As you pass the Painter's Temple on Shilang Cliff, turn left and you will find the remains of Expedition No. 50.
Act 2
These logs are available in Act 2, including areas on the first island that can only be reached by swimming. Esky gains swimming ability after the first act.
Expedition No. 64
Swim southeast from Esky's nest to the forest peninsula that stretches out from the first island. Follow the south and west paths and you will find the old outpost of Expedition No. 64.
Expedition No. 45
Go west along the north coast of the first island and you will find crushed caves. Defeat the boss inside and climb onto the rope behind it. Turn left at the fork and you will find the log of Expedition No. 45.
Expedition No. 36
The white trees are on a small atoll, located to the west of the starting island. You can find this log there, and a music record.
Expedition Team No. 54
Swim east from Shilang Cliff and you will find Shilang Cliff Cave. Follow the path to the bottom and you will find this log guarded by colorful hexagons.
Expedition No. 41
On the forgotten battlefield, when you meet a disappearing woman, turn right and enter the trenches. In the corridor on the left, where you can see glowing embers, there is this log.
Expedition Team No. 57
As you come out of the first part of the forgotten battlefield, you will find a grassy area with old trenchers and other siege weapons. This log will be on your right as you walk out of the trenches.
Expedition No. 48
When you leave the forgotten battlefield and return to the mainland map, go east and you will find the stone mine. The log is behind, close to the white bard.
Expedition Team No. 65
After recruiting Monoko, go to the back of the room where you duel with him and use the train tracks to cross the abyss. The log will be on your left. Talk to nearby Grandis and you can also get a repaint.
Expedition No. 47
After leaving Monoco's station, head west to Old Lumiere. Follow the forest path, pass the beach of Gestra and walk towards the budworms; you will find a camp on the right with a diary.
Expedition Team No. 58
This log is automatically collected as part of the main story, in Old Lumière. You can access it when you return to camp after completing the last encounter in the area.
Break Survivor
Start from the expedition flags on the left street on the old Lumiere Meer path, pass through the door of the ruins, and walk through the route to the right of the Great Square opposite. Fall out of the hole in the pipe and turn around and you will find a locked door. You can open it with the old key you got from the festival at the start of the game and retrieve the log from the break at the back.
Expedition No. 42
Facing the exit of the old Lumière Manor, go to the right and you will find a path and a climbing rope. Climb down the cliff and you will find the camp and logs for Expedition 42.
Expedition No. 43
Once Esky is able to destroy the reefs, swim east from the coastal caves, heading counterclockwise to the island at the northern entrance. Defeat or hide from the colorful death cultists, arrive at the camp behind it, and get the logs there.
Expedition No. 35
After you are able to destroy the reefs, look for a place called fallen leaves in the western waterway that you can access. Walk along the road in the canyon and climb up the rope and return to the ground. After defeating a pair of Gries, you will find the last diary of Expedition No. 35 on the left, right next to the bridge.
Expedition No. 49
On the high path with fallen leaves, look forward and right, and you will find a gate guarded by a little boy. Back to the canyon, go to the cave with inverted statues and the entrance to the manor, and talk to the statues.
Back at the little boy, he would open the door to the hilltop path. After climbing onto the big rope, look for the log on the left side of the path.
Renoir
After the boss of Old Lumiere and Renoir, return to where you fought him and look for a hole in the garden wall. You will find an entrance to the estate on the cliff behind. Once inside, go through the door and enter the master bedroom, Renoir's log is on the bedside table.
Expedition No. 40
When it's time to fight the Axon in Act 2, swim north from the midpoint between the two of them, you'll find an island with a merchant named Grasanori. There is a diary in his camp.
Expedition No. 69
In Visage's nest, take the happy path to the left. In the dummy section made of flowers, continue to go left and climb up the ledge and you will find some unfinished climbing anchors and expedition No. 69 logs.
unknown
In the Angry Zone of Visage (the path to the far right), turn right when you see the mini boss mask above the exit; you will find a manor entrance. The second room inside has this mysterious log.
Expedition No. 39
In the sad area of Visager's nest, climb up the high ground to the right of the mask boss. The log is at the top.
Expedition Team No. 55
Pay attention to the right side of the Siren Path; shortly after riding on the floating platform, near the base of the first expedition flag, there is a pergola surrounded by ballerinas with a diary inside.
Expedition Team No. 67
In the Siren's nest, defeat Grisando and ride the last floating platform to reach the room of the axon. When you get off the boat, check the boxes and bodies in the gap opposite you for logs.
Expedition Team No. 51
Starting from the entrance to the frozen heart, follow the train tracks and walk as straight as possible to the back instead of entering the cave on the left. Walk through the floating train carriage and you will find a small niche with logs.
Expedition No. 34
The Crow is a small area located on the west side of the map, south of Richer. You can find the logs for Expedition 34 there, at the rear left of the yard. Even if your team level is below about 65, the location will be marked as dangerous, but as long as you don't shoot the crows hidden everywhere in the area, you can safely enter; the boss will only appear when they are all wiped out.
Expedition No. 70
In the contaminated Lumiere area of monolith, look for a market stall circle with red and white flowers. There is a small alley to the right where you can use your grapple hook to pass through some floating islands. Continue to grab the hook along the road to the right, cross Nevron and find this log.
Alin
Inside the Monolith, when you find the cemetery of the contaminated battlefield, enter the cave on the left. There is a manor entrance that leads to the greenhouse. Collect records there before moving on.
Act 3
These logs can only be recovered in Act 3, as they can either be accessed only in areas that require flight or diving to reach, or are unlocked by a camp storyline that does not occur until later in the game.
Expedition No. 46
In Act 3, talk to Lun in the camp until she asks for help in finding the Expedition 46. Fly to the east side of Siren Island and enter the new area there; Lun can open the door by playing the guitar.
Inside, defeat the colorful Grisando. Expedition No. 46's log is in the niche behind it. Next time you return to camp, talk to Lun again to learn about her final gradient attack.
unknown
After Richel's second expedition flag, jump down from the cliff in front and go to the right. Defeat or hide from the orphans you land nearby and head forward to the manor entrance below the ramp leading to the main path. There is a diary immediately inside.
Expedition Team No. 61
As you climb Richil, you will find this log in front of the hot air balloon, and after passing through Viller, continue from the fog area.
Expedition No. 37
Fly to the Gestra Beach on the inland sea, located southeast of Sieron Island, where there are rock climbing challenges. Just at the entrance, look to the right and you will find a log that is easy to miss.
Expedition No. 84
Fly to the west of Abest Cave and look for a clearing in the forest where you can land. Here you will find the fountain. Take the road to the left, pass Blanche, the last unfinished Nevron. The logs are on the way behind them.
unknown
Fly to the canvas on the floating island southwest of Monolith, where the portrait of the Desander family is restored. Place the portrait in a frame on the stairs on the right side of the estate and open the door to the studio behind. The log is in the middle of the floor inside.
Julie, Viso
Fly directly west from the northern exit of the forgotten battlefield; you will find a small cliff with some Nevron and ruined buildings that you cannot reach from below. Land and fight to the back and you will find these two diaries. Julie's log is in the tent on the left, while Viso's log is behind the passage.
Simon
Once Esky is able to dive, enter the Renoir draft in the south of Axis Island and fight to the end. You will find a new area called the Abyss. Jump down from the cliff at the end of the path and you'll find Simon, the hardest boss in the game. If you can beat him (which is a big if), you can collect his logs as a reward.
Expedition No. 60
On your way to the final battle, look for the way to the right before you enter the Opera House. Stand on the edge, look at the water, and let Esky retrieve the glittering log from below.
