October started with the js13kGames 2024 winners announcement, and to no surprise the rest of the month still revolved around the competition: from follow-up blog posts, through emailing prizes, to collecing addresses for the shipment of the t-shirts.
Nothing this time, maybe next month?
Mostly js13kGames 2024 announcements, but also thanks to the help from the community (João Lopes, Ryan Tyler, Mark Vasilkov) after a break we’ve returned to publishing on the Gamedev.js website:
Still handling js13kGames’ Decentralized category: sending prizes, but also welcoming new folks into the OP Guild.
The OP Guild and js13kGames challenges were added to the currently ongoing LittleJS Game Jam 2024, and I’m also talking with new potential partners for OP Guild : some of the web game engines and game jams.
Most of the time in October was spent on js13kGames (winners, prizes, addresses, t-shirts), including extra prizes for criteria rankings and separate Decentralized category announcement.
I still managed to enjoy the month a bit: I won a prize in the Neuroshima Hex tournament happening in Warsaw on my birthday though.
After having the first Gamedev.js Weekly issue in October delayed by the js13kGames 2024 winners announcement, the next ones returned to being emailed on Fridays.
Getting feedback for the Gamedev.js Survey 2024 questions and answers, collecting sizes and shipping details for the js13kGames 2024 t-shirts.
