A rare £2 coin that has been viewed more than 100,000 times on eBay is set to sell for a staggering £10,000.

The coin, which features William Shakespeare's name as well as the crown and dagger from Hamlet, is listed on the online marketplace for 5,000 times its face value.

With Queen Elizabeth II on the back, the coin dates back to 2016.

The description of the item reads: “Such is the literary legacy of William Shakespeare, that The Royal Mint has struck three official £2 coins in his honour a first for the United Kingdom.
