While Life Is Strange: Double Exposure is more about Max's powers and finding out what happened to Safi, she does have a couple of romance options throughout the story. Amanda Thomas is the cute girl who owns the Snapping Turtle and brings you home cooked food when you're grieving, while Vinh is the charismatic leader of the Abraxas Society and Administrative Assistant to Yasmin Fayyad, Caledon's president.
While you have plenty of options to flirt with both of them throughout the game, the point where you get to decide is during the Nobody Wants To Drink Alone scene in Chapter 3. You have the option of romancing just one of them, both, or neither of them. But, which one should you choose, and what impact do these relationships have on the main story?
After a lengthy story segment where you and Living World Amanda visit a pretend Revenge Horse concert, you'll be faced with the option to either Kiss Amanda or Pull Away.
If you decide to kiss Amanda, her and Max share a passionate kiss. Amanda then says that before they do anything else, they should sleep on it. Apparently, her therapist had warned her about getting attached to people too fast and wants to know that she made good choices.
Later in Combined World, Amanda is hurt that you never told her about your powers. But even so, she's a bit wierded out by it and everything that happened, so says needs more time to evaluate if she'll be able to deal with it all or not.
If you only romance Amanda you'll unlock the A Nice Girl Who Runs a Bar achievement/trophy.
If you pull away, Max tells Amanda that her life is a mess right now and that it's not fair to bring Amanda into it right now. Amanda agrees and they part ways.
During the final scene in Combined World, when you talk to Amanda she'll say that she feels like with everything that happened and your powers that she dodged a bullet by not being in a relationship with you.
If you don't talk to Amanda at all during Chapter 3, the end of the game will be the same as if you chose to pull away.
When you talk to Dead World Vinh during Chapter 3, he'll play a game of Smash or Pass with you, where he'll ask you if you'd smash or pass various other faculty members at Caledon.
At the end of the game, he'll ask you where he falls on your radar, presenting you with the choice to kiss Vinh or pass.
If you kiss Vinh, he becomes smitten with you and asks if you can stay. You have to give him an excuse not to by either telling him that you're saving the world or that you have an early morning.
During the storm in Chapter 5, while you're looking for Safi and helping the others, you'll find Reggie who will mention that he remembers seeing you making out with Vinh. Then, in Combined World, if you talk to Reggie in the North Quad he'll tell you that he's actually over Vinh and not to worry about it.
Afterward, when you talk to Vinh at the Snapping Turtle, he mentions that he's confused by everything that went on, but he doesn't bring up the kiss.
If you romance only Vinh, you'll get the Only Eyes for the Bad Boy achievement/trophy.
If you pass on kissing Vinh, he holds no ill thoughts about it, stating that no hard feelings is the smash or pass rule. But since he doesn't end up developing any feelings for you, during the storm you can encourage him to help Reggie deal with what's going on.
In Combined World, both Vinh and Reggie will be together at the Snapping Turtle. Reggie mentions that he would've lost it if not for Vinh, and they both seem very happy.
While you have the opportunity to romance both Amanda and Vinh, nothing different happens with either relationship. Amanda never saw you with Vinh, and Vinh never saw you with Amanda.
And, whether you romance either of them or not, the end is still roughly the same: you remain single.
Still, if you're trying to get every achievement/trophy, you can easily go back to scene in Chapter 3 via the Chapter Selection and make different choices. When you romance both characters you'll get the It's Complicated achievement/trophy, and if you don't romance either of them you'll get the Romantically Disentangled achievement/trophy.
