Part of what brought players to Mirthwood is the farming aspect. Every game does farming mechanics a little bit differently. In Mirthwood, you have seasonal and day and night cycles. These cycles affect your crops, as well as many other things.
You can have farm animals and mounts in the game, all of which need tender love and care. This guide will explain how to get everything you need to start a bustling farm. Seeds, animals, and upgrades. That way, you will be able to start profiting.
You can place tilled soil by using a Hoe. When placing soil, you have the option to use a locked grid system or to manually place it. The locked grid can be enabled and disabled. It allows you to place soil down with perfect organization.
Manually placing soil allows you to place them in any way you want, a heart shape or a circle.
Any seeds in your inventory will automatically enter your scroll wheel quick-select (which can be opened with TAB). Crops must be watered frequently.
One water a day is not enough to last the day, as it will become dry again later on. However, crops will not die if you only water them once a day.
There is a farm northeast of Brightoak called Northdell Farm. Walking down from the windmill, you'll be able to find a market stall.
Northdell Farm sells all seed types for all seasons, as well as deeds for farm buildings and farm animals.
Northdell Farm sells farm animals. You may find traders elsewhere selling horses. Horses are only used as mounts and do not provide any produce to sell or craft with. Every other animal can provide you with resources and must be fed daily.
Farm animals eat Hay. Hay can be acquired by using your scythe on tall grass anywhere.
Upgrading your scythe increases the amount of Hay you can harvest. Northdell Farms trading stall also sells Hay.
Northdell can also provide you with a Milk Pail for any animal that can produce milk. A Milk Pail cost 125 coins.
