The Caves of Sharksmouth is a hidden area in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, located on the Rivain Coast. It is highly likely to be the last area of the map you unlock, so will probably provide you with the Across The Imperial Highway Trophy/Achievement. You will first hear of this location when you discover the side quest Warden Grey's Final Repose in Rivain's Castle Bailey.

It's in the north east area of Rivain, but that doesn't really matter too much - The Caves of Sharksmouth is not a place you can reach through traditional exploration. Instead, you have to progress through Taash's storyline enough to unlock the quest Lair of the Dragon King. Completing this story grants you access to Sharksmouth Mountain via fast travel.

After recruiting Taash in the quest The Dragon Slayer, there's not much progress you can make towards the Caves of Sharksmouth until after the main quest Fire And Ice. This quest sees you take on a dragon (two, in fact), and spurs the dragon hunting urge in Taash.

Speak to them at the Lighthouse after the quest and they should tell you about a new dragon to hunt, unlocking the quest Slaying the Fangscorcher. During this quest, it is revealed that the Dragon King is interested in Taash.

Fight and slay the dragon, and back at the Lighthouse a second quest will be in Taash's room - Kataranda The Stormrider, where you need to hunt a dragon called... well, figure it out. After this, speak to Taash at the Lighthouse again and you will unlock The Lair of the Dragon King.

If these quests to do not appear, you will need to raise Taash's bond by taking them with you on quests or finding their gift in the Hall of Valor store to complete Fit For A Dragonslayer.

As well as Taash's face off with the Dragon King, and the rest of Warden Grey's Final Repose (you can find our walkthrough for the fallen Warden at the link), the Caves of Sharksmouth are also home to one additional side quest: The Treasure of Sharksmouth Mountain, which is very similar to The Warden Vault in the Warden Castle of the Rivain Coast, but with even better loot.

Furthermore, the bubbling lava cauldron of ruins, death, and fire also make for the most vivid and interesting locations in the game, so you'll want to tick it off your Dragon Age: The Veilguard bucket list anyway.
