Finding Azura's Shrine

Azura's Shrine is located northeast of Cheydinhal, conveniently situated atop the 'nt' in 'County Cheydinhal' on the map. The Gutted Mine, southwest of the shrine, also serves as a useful landmark.

Completing Azura's Quest

Upon offering Glow Dust at the shrine during the appropriate time, Azura will initiate the quest. This involves venturing into the Gutted Mine (southwest of the shrine) to eliminate five Afflicted Brethren, who have transformed into vampires.

Note that vampires exhibit resistance to standard weapons. For maximum damage, utilize silver weapons, enchanted weapons, or even your fists.

The final two vampires are concealed behind a false wall. Locate a rock attached to a rope and activate it to reveal the passage.

After defeating all vampires, return to Azura's shrine and interact with it. Azura will reward you with Azura's Star, a grand soul gem capable of holding grand souls without being consumed. Unlike in other Elder Scrolls games, you cannot corrupt Azura's Star in Oblivion to accept humanoid souls.
