Garmin has decided to introduce a new update to the Fenix 7 series and its peers, which it is distributing through its Beta Program for the time being. Reasonably, one would expect the new update to be the first 19.xx firmware that was available publicly. Garmin certainly implied as much last week by claiming that v18.14 represented the conclusion of its '18.xx beta period'.
Nonetheless, it has now begun rolling out Beta Version 18.15, which it claims contains seven improvements over v18.14 in its stable and beta forms. With that being said, the new update does not bundle any new GPS, touch screen, wireless or sensor hub firmwares. For reference, Beta Version 18.15's changelog mentions the following refinements:
Presumably, the update will soon reach stable status. Although Garmin has not confirmed as much, it tends to push out these smaller builds to address bugs that were found in recent stable updates. Please note that Beta Version 18.15 disables electrocardiogram (ECG) functionality, which the company had re-enabled in Beta Version 18.14. Please see Garmin's forum post for more details.
