While Xbox sells its Xbox Wireless Controllers in a variety of colors including special editions, it also allows buyers to purchase a custom controller through the Xbox Design Lab. Today, Xbox has announced that users can now choose translucent faceplate options when customizingan Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 (available on Amazon for $114) in the Xbox Design Lab, thus providing more options for buyers.
The new translucent faceplate options launch under the Cipher series and are available in six colors. There's Ghost Cipher (white), Velocity Cipher (Xbox green), Astral Cipher (purple), Surf Cipher (blue), Candy Cipher (pink), and Pulse Cipher (Red).
Alongside the transparent top cases, Xbox has also announced two new chromatic D-pad and paddle designs. The colors are dubbed Energy Chroma and Sunset Chroma and can switch between gradients depending on the angle you hold the controller.
The faceplates are already available on the Xbox Design Lab, so you can start designing your custom controller.
