Months have passed since Z-Pocket Game (ZPG) last revealed details about the Bubble. In the intervening period, the company started selling the A1 Unicorn, albeit in limited quantities. For reference, the A1 Unicorn directly rivals the RG Cube (curr. $214.99 on Amazon), which Anbernic is rumoured to consider returning to later this year.
By contrast, the Bubble is closer in design to the classic Sega Game Gear, albeit with a 3.5-inch display. Although ZPG originally showcased the device in a single black colourway, it seems that it has more colours in development. However, it has now shown seven new colours, evidence of which we have embedded below.
Specifically, it has shared mock-ups of black, blue, green, purple, red, white and yellow finishes. Incidentally, all but two of these have black buttons, with the exceptions being pink and purple, the latter of which has an almost Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle aesthetic. The ZPG Bubble should eventually be available with a Rockchip RK3566 chipset. As such, the device should be capable of emulating up to PlayStation and Nintendo 64 games. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen when that will be the case, though.
