Roborock Z1 Molecular Sieve new smart washer dryer arrives

The Roborock Z1 Molecular Sieve Washer Dryer has been launched in China. The model is ultra-thin and suitable for loads up to 12 kg (~26 lbs), around 60 t-shirts. The machine has a premium feels thanks in part to GloScreen, a full-color touch screen, across the door with a borderless design.

As with other washer dryers from Roborock, the Z2 features Zeo-cycle technology with a molecular sieve for low temperature and gentle drying to protect your clothes. For example, a wool cycle can dry items at 37°C (~99°F), and the machine can automatically stop when the clothes are dry. A newer technology from the brand is FineFoam, pre-mixing detergent and water before spraying it onto your clothes, which is said to reduce water and energy usage. There are 30 customizable cycles, including a stain washing setting which varies the temperature throughout the wash. Other features include automatic detergent dispensing, steam cleaning, and app-based controls.

You can currently pre-order the Roborock Z1 Molecular Sieve Washer Dryer in China for the discounted price of 4,599 yuan (~$646); the model is expected to retail for 6,599 yuan (~$927) when this pre-sale event ends on September 28th. It is unclear whether or when the machine could launch in other markets like Europe. However, the Roborock Zeo One washer dryer is already available in countries like Germany.
