Xiaomi's HyperOS replaced MIUI and introduced a new Android skin that's designed for its smart ecosystem. The company first unveiled it on October 26 last year, and with Android 15 reaching Platform Stability, HyperOS 2.0 is pretty much around the corner.
While Xiaomi hasn't officially disclosed anything about the Android 15 update of HyperOS, a leaked screenshot that's seemingly taken from the company's database sheds light on when the new Android skin may land. Per the leaked image on Coolapk, a popular Chinese social media, the Redmi K70 will receive it on October 10.
This release aligns with previous reports from reputable sources that claimed Android 15 will launch in October, with the source code for the operating system to be released next week. Many companies, including Xiaomi, have already started the beta program.
The leaked screenshot didn't reveal any further details, but previous reports have hinted at the highlighted features of Xiaomi HyperOS 2.0. The Android 15-based update is expected to bring improved AI capabilities, including better voice recognition and photo and video editing.
Moreover, the update is expected to feature a visually refined interface and updated design across the operating system. As for compatibility, no Xiaomi, Poco, or Redmi phones that are currently running Android 13 and in the end-of-life listare expected to get HyperOS 2.0. Most of the others with Android 14 (such as Xiaomi 14) should get the new update. But again, all these pieces of info are from rumors and leaks, and you should take them with a pinch of salt.
