Sony's continued silence around the highly demanded Bloodborne remaster continues to irk gamers. A PlayStation Stars entry hinted at it, but like many other hints in the past, it turned out to be a dud. Meanwhile, the ShadpPS4 Emulator project is hard at work making Bloodborne run properly on PC via emulation, and they've made some remarkable progress.
Bloodborne now starts up and boots into the game- an important milestone for any emulated title. You can even go as far as Castle Cainhurst, an optional, hidden dungeon and fight the boss there. Unfortunately, the framerate is less than ideal (in the single digits) and the game looks wonky.
A uncapped FPS mod for Bloodborne already exists, but you can only run it on jailbroken PlayStation 4 consoles and a Reddit user already got it running via the ShadPS4 emulator. Nevertheless, there are still many challenges to overcome before it becomes fully operational. At this rate, we should have a fully playable build in the coming months.
