Deal | 65-inch LG B4 OLED TV drops to lowest ever price on Amazon
For those seeking to purchase an entry-level OLED TV, LG's B4presents itself as an excellent option. The TV has been reviewed positively by most prominent reviewers, and thanks to the latest price cut on Amazon, the 65-inch B4 OLED can now be purchased for just $1,496 - its lowest price ever according to price trackers.
Little needs to be said in regards to contrast, since the LG B4 boasts near-true black levels, as is typical of OLED displays without any blooming whatsoever, courtesy of pixel-level dimming. The TV offers respectable brightness levels - although not quite as good as that of mini LEDs, which is to be expected. However, it effortlessly surpasses its predecessor, the B3, thanks to a peak HDR brightness of 675 nits at a 10% window.
According to the comprehensive review by Rtings, the LG B4 demonstrates decent pre-calibration color accuracy. Nevertheless, Rtings observes that the B4 does not fare very well in terms of color accuracy and mapping within the DCI-P3 and Rec. 2020 color spaces, despite covering them reasonably well. As a result, there are some slight inaccuracies and undersaturation issues concerning greens and cyans. The gamma is also slightly off, which may cause certain scenes to appear too bright. Most people, however, will be more than satisfied with the B4's performance in this regard.
Gamers will certainly appreciate the many qualities of the LG B4 OLED, most of which make OLEDs the darlings of the gaming community - instantaneous response times, almost zero input lag, and superb contrast for a vivid HDR gaming experience - which is further accentuated by the TV's 120 Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the B4 boasts four HDMI 2.1 ports, all with the full 48 Gbps bandwidth, and the TV supports VRR (FreeSync, G-SYNC) as well.
For customers who have been on the lookout for a decent OLED TV from LG but do not wish to splurge an extra $300 on the slightly better C4, the B4 is an excellent lower-cost alternative that leaves little room for complaint.
